A car bombing kills the current King, Queen and Crown Prince. The young Crown Prince's mate is left as guardian of not only her children but her teenage nephew and has to oversee an elder counsel until the remaining Prince becomes of age, at which time he will take his true mate or a chosen mate if he has not found her to begin his rule.
