Melody had lived most of the first 8 years of her life in an orphanage. She then got adopted by a rich couple who were unable to have children, who also happen to work with the famous Ootori business run by Yoshio Ootori (Aka: Kyoya Ootori's father). Melody's adoptive family is huge in the music department with both her foster mother and father being very well known Japanese and English artists, which will make it easier for her for when she becomes a well known artist.
