"I'll miss you Jake I hope you live a long happy life." I tried to smile at him but failed.

"Shut up! You care for no one your trying to make me change my mind and for that you will die!" I flinched at his words. He stepped forward and raised his hand as a blue flame formed in his hand and he raised it at my heart. The flame shot toward me and time went slow. I secretly hoped that he would miss, but Jake never missed never. Pain burst through my chest and I screamed; it didn't last long but it's getting cold. Never once did I remove my eyes from Jake . ------------- "Why're you staring at me?" I ask teasingly. I hear him letting out a breath, of embarrassment or guilt I don't know. "I may have unintentionally hurt you, on several occasions. I may have done the wrong thing more than once. But despite all of that I still like you, hell if I know I might love you. I've never felt the way I feel about you for anyone else before. I can't stop thinking about you. Your laugh, your smile, your voice. How you manage to pull a joke at a time like this, to how peaceful, and beautiful you look when you're sleeping." I smile. "You okay? Did you hit your head or somethin'?" I tease. "Shut up." ------------------------- Olivia, a 16-year-old girl with a tragic past. I finally escaped the factory, they kidnapped me from my college. Today is my birthday, and I had planned for it but nothing helped, only calming me down for the moment. A scream echoed out in the silent starry sky, my body freezing... They were looking for me, I just knew it. Again, I ran and jumping over the fence to the property, muscles burning, my breathing short. I look behind me, not seeing the light of the school anymore. I slow down, holding my breath again. Looking around, only trees and bugs surround me. I slowly sank to my knees, gripping the grass in between my fingers, to keep my breathing calm. Tears springing to my eyes and brushing the tears away, slowly getting back to normal. Suddenly, I felt someone behind me. I could feel its strength and power surround me, turning around to see a dark figure behind me. Glowing blue eyes stared at me, seeing it slowly walk toward me. My breathing becoming short again, a panic attack was on the verge. A hand was now on my shoulder and another on my cold cheek, making me look into his eyes, "Let me help you..." He whispered. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his. Soon, the kiss ended and I was empty. My eyes closing. "Don't worry, I will keep you safe..."

!!Trigger warning: suicide, Implied/Referenced Self Harm!! Warnings before sections. . This book is currently discontinued, if I find motivation to finish it it is not in the foreseeable future. . "Trust me." His voice was soft and calming, the way that a good father could be assumed to sound. "This isn't what you want, it never has been and it never will be. Confusion is difficult to work through, but if you just let me help you, I can show you that it can be worked through." He rolled up his sleeve, showing several white streaks across his skin. The other was shocked. "N-no, I'm not good for anything, I'm nothing there's nothing for me." He shook his head many times, holding it in his hands after a bit. "No." "Can I touch you?" The boy who was trying to help this poor soul had approached a few paces. His voice was now quieter, more soft, and still caring. The boy at the bridge took a moment to think, then nodded his approval. The savior gently took the boy's hands delicately in his own and gently pulled the boy back. Well, less of a pull and more of a gentle suggestion. It worked and the boy stumbled down off of the edge. The boy started to cry. How could he be so weak that a boy, the same age as him, who seemed to have the same ideas and hatred toward himself as he, could keep him from stepping off? The other simply gently led him to his vehicle and took out a water bottle out of the backseat. The boy took it and looked at it suspiciously. "It's untampered, look, it's still sealed." Upon seeing this, the boy opened it and took a few sips of water. "Thank you. For the water." The savior smiled. "It's nothing much." He shrugged. "Have a phone? If you want I can put my number in and then you'll always be able to tell someone if you're having a pissy day." Surprisingly enough, the boy agreed. . They would both be around twenty.

"You can't possibly be okay with this," I motion to myself, "Me being a..a demon. It goes against everything you were raised to believe." "What I was forced to believe." Sam interjects, suddenly directly in front of me, caging me against the counter as I look up at him. When the fuck did he get there? Enhanced senses, my ass, Ves. "From what you told me, God is obviously real, along with Heaven and Hell. If my parents had raised me right, then I might have been appalled by the fact that you're a demon," His hazel eyes watch me, so much emotion swirling in his orbs causing chills to travel up my body, "But the fact that you, a demon, have shown more kindness to me than my own parents," his voice deepens as his head tilts slightly, "How bad could you possibly be?" I stand there motionless, lost for words. Am I drunk? Is he? I didn't drink that much. Then again it was half the bottle, but still I have more tolerance than that. It seems like every time I take a break from this man, he changes more and more. I don't know if it's actually his true personality or what, but I can never get out of this loop. Being too distracted with my thoughts, I fail to notice when Sam moves and his lips soon mold with mine in a kiss. And I kiss him back.
