After the battle of Hogwarts ended, students were given the option to come back the next year and finish their seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were included in that group of people who decided to finish their magical education.
Much to Harry, Ron, and Hermione's disgust, Draco Malfoy decided to come back as well. But he's different. Not just any different, a good different. Draco had changed. He's not that snobby stuck up kid he used to be. He doesn't call Hermione "Mudblood" anymore, and this makes Hermione think he really changed for the better. But is this just some game to Draco? Was he set up to pretend like he changed, or has he actually converted to the good side?
(I know, it's not all that good of a synopsis or whatever it's called. The story will be better, I swear!)

It is one year after Voldemort is defeated. Headmistress Mcgonagall invites students with unfinished educations to return if they would like. They will be known as Eighth Years. Hermione, of course, easily agrees and is actually excited. Ron and Harry would rather not go, but, of course, Mrs. Weasley is making them. All summer, Ron has been moody and distant. But lately, he's been rude and almost cruel towards Harry and Hermione. And when they arrive at Hogwarts, Ron starts acting possessive and abusive. Hermione was going to tell someone, but as much as she hated to admit it, she's clueless. She's hurting physically and emotionally. And worst of all, she's scared. When Hermione finds her self coming back to Hogwarts for a Manditory 8th year, she is put in a place she shouldn't be. A place too close to Draco Malfoy a place were it should be impossible for her to stand and Draco is determined to find out why and how. We, The Ministry have decided that all people who were in attendance of they're seventh year at Hogwarts during the war is required to return back to Hogwarts for a mandatory 8th year. As this is mandatory all former 7th years will be in attendance, if you are to refuse the resorting program you will be transferred to the nearest Wizarding school for a year. Upon your re-arrival at Hogwarts all new 8th years will be required to be re-sorted due to the fact that now you are no longer under Age, your personality may have changed especially due to the war. Hermione finds herself out of place after the war. Really out of place. ~The students of Hogwarts have returned for their Seventh Year that they were unable to attend, a year prior. Ron and Harry, getting ready to finish their Seventh Year and become Aurors, like they planned. After Hermione turns down Ron, for feeling wrong about being with him, she feels alone. Scared. Out of sorts. But she isn't the only one. Draco Malfoy sits at the other end of the Great Hall, by himself, surrounded by the other Slytherins, all avoiding him except for Theo Nott, Blaise Zabini, and Pansy Parkinson. The other death eaters. But Malfoy doesn't seem to notice, too busy staring into nothingness, with grief. Hermione cannot help but stare at the poor boy who everyone hates. Who she hates. But she doesn't feel that way when she's looking at him. All of a sudden she realizes his composure has broken, staring back at her.~ Will she invite in the enemy of her childhood? Will she see past it, as he is the only one who understands the pain she's enduring?
