16 year old Carrie Madison doesn't talk. She only can talk to her life long bestie, Janice Menard. Carrie can't even talk to her own family. One day, 17 year old Blaine Paul moves across the street from Carrie. Her desk is right below the window, so she always watches them unpack, not in a stalkerish way though. They fix up the old ratchet house, and it looks good. Carrie always walks her dog, goes outside, or even make excuses to go places for Blaine to notice her. Even though she doesn't talk, she's attracted to him. Will Carrie finally be able to talk to someone else OTHER than Janice? Or will she totally flop, especially in front of Blaine Paul?
