Consequences - the game in which we write a short story by passing it around a table. Each person takes it in turns to write a line. To make it more interesting, they can only see the one line before theirs. Everything else, including the opening line, is hidden until the paper is unfolded to reveal the story revealed.
Our writers get emotional this week as they attempt to write stories on the theme of... emotions. Our prompt for this week was: "He felt like he could..."
It also introduced the character of Spadis, the Lord of Darkness (pronounced like Hades).

"I brought you here because I wanted to ask you something really important." He said and I smirked, knowing what he was going to ask me. "What is it?" He sighed and ran his hand through his hair again. "After last night, which was amazing, it got me thinking. What exactly are we?" The question that has been running through my mind ever since last night too. He sighed and held my hands in his,"Maddison, I like you, a lot. And I mean a lot. You're the most prettiest woman I've ever seen in my life, seriously. Both inside and outside. I want you, and only you. Shit, I'm bad at these things but, can you be my girlfriend?" ------------------------------ Lets start like this, Connor comes from a troubled past that soon turns out to be fading away as he moves to Missouri. After 2 years of living there, a new boy in town offers to be his friend. Connor hasn't had friends for his whole life so he saw this as an opportunity to get a real friend. Soon, Connor tries a lot of different things he hasn't tried and comes out excellent in all of them, but he makes enemies on the way. Their friend group expands and now there is 4 bestfriends in the group, but Connor only has feelings for 1. Will he mess up? But what will happen when his past starts following him everywhere he goes? What will happen when old feelings arise with just a glance at a dinner table? This is so he can set ideas up for when he finally becomes King. The change was supposed to be something educational, maybe an edit to the curriculum or school hours. Within the Shadows of the Soul, there is Beauty
I can feel my heart racing against my ribs as if it is about to tear itself out of my chest as I gaze into a pair of violet-silver eyes. They are locked onto my own with a predator's intensity. It takes every ounce of self-control I have to keep up this foolish staring contest, but I keep at it. I will not appear weak in my own court! The stranger does not blink but offers the tiniest of smirks, as if sensing my growing distress. I take in a deep breath and silently will some steel into my spine as I, at last, address him. "What is your name and what business do you have here?" The stranger grins and instead of bowing gives a mocking salute. His voice is soft and dark, carrying the promise of death, "I am, Lord Virgil and I have come on request of the king to help him against the growing threat." I swallow hard as he steps closer toward me, those uncanny eyes never leaving my face. "It would be wise if you stayed a safe distance away from me, Prince Roman. I bring nothing but pain wherever I tread." Virgil warns. Before I can reply he brushes past me down the hall toward the throne room, dark cloak fluttering behind him like a pair of wings. No one dared answer. Primordial beings rarely cared for the anxieties of mortals or even lesser deities. The speaker continued, their gaze sweeping across the silent gathering. "Do you wish to know the story of our honorable fighters for humanity? I think this will teach your arrogant selves a valuable lesson." With a snap of their fingers, Chaos transported everyone back to the blood-soaked arena where Ragnarok had unfolded. The shift was instantaneous, jarring. Confusion, fear, uneasiness, and caution were etched on every face, blurring the supposed lines between gods and humans. They shared these primal emotions, a testament to the shared experience of witnessing such a brutal and extraordinary conflict. "Enjoy," Chaos declared, the word hanging in the air like a death knell. (A reaction fic, where the Gods and humans react to the Einherjar's past life. It gets worse before it gets better.)
