I began to feel a sense of suffocation, as if the ring were tightening around my throat, but I remained silent while he gently caressed the ring on my finger. "Never take this off," he murmured, bringing my hand to his lips and kissing the ring before brushing each of my knuckles softly, leaving behind a tainted mark. "Now sleep, little cat. A grand punishment awaits you behind the red doors." I closed my eyes, surrendering entirely. Dizziness began to wash over me. I had fought to keep my eyes open, knowing I was on the verge of losing consciousness. But now, it was over. Everything. I let my mind rest for a moment before bracing for another hell.
