Amber Peterson is a fifteen year old girl living in probably the most boring life ever. When one day, after wishing for a better life, she is transported back to the mid 1960's finding a new life awaiting her. Wanting a fresh start, she makes up a background story and heads off to find some adventure. As she walks through this small town of Tulsa, she stumbles upon none other than Johnny Cade. Hanging with the greasers, she develops feelings for them and vice-versa. Who will Amber end up with? Will she live to tell the tale? Will she be able to keep her past a secret from those she loves? Why does Darry and Steve like chocolate cake so much? Read: The Outsiders: And the girl from the future.
