“Congratulations Mrs. Owens! It’s a healthy baby boy.” Mrs. Owens took her baby from the nurse with a tired smile, looking at her… “Um, nurse? Is there anything wrong with him?” “No, surprisingly. His eyes are naturally like that.” Amanda Owens looked at her black-eyed baby, unwillingly filling with fear. She felt a cold shiver run down her spine, smiling warily as she ran her fingers through a full head of black hair. Her child had the same messy mop, matching exactly with his eyes. “Oliver. Oliver Owens.” She smiled slightly, looking up at Oliver’s father. “I got him a toy.” Dean Owens says, holding out the teddy bear, his lips sewn tightly shut together with black yarn.
His mother sighed wearily, and took the bear. “This better not be one of your tricks Dean.” She murmured, rocking the sleeping boy slightly. Oliver clutched the bear tightly to his tiny chest with his tiny hands, smiling in his sleep. Nobody ever knew what a terrible gift indeed this was, and how horribly it would affect all of their futures.

He hissed as the alcohol touched his bleeding wound and he grabbed my hand. His touch ignited a flame and I knew that later I might have to treat myself for burns. "I'm sorry, did that hurt?" I asked, softly. I tried to calm my breathing as I did so, he was so close. The years that I spent staying away from his kind weren't paying off. "No," He retorted sarcastically, still holding onto my hand. "I hissed because I'm a snake. Of course that hurt, pumpkin." His comment awakened several buried memories, but I ignored them and continued to work on his wound. "Could you please let go of my hand now?" I muttered. He smirked and shook his head. "Do I scare you?" he asked, completely ignoring my question. Even though he did scare me, he scared me completely biscuit-less, I rose my head up and shook my light brown waves. "Absolutely, not." ************************ Gemma Reynolds is an an overworked nurse and probably one of the most innocent and pure people you will ever meet. When Wyatt comes into the hospital battered, bruised and bleeding, one night, Gemma is to take care of him. I took a deep breath, clutching my handbag tightly. "Yes, Adrian," i said, my voice trembling but steady enough. "Your son. I didn't get the abortion like you wanted me to." The room went silent, as if the air had been sucked out. Adrian blinked, clearly stunned by my words. He opened his mouth, then closed it again, at a loss. "My son?" he finally said, his voice incredulous. "What are you talking about?" "She's just some crazy fan," his father interjected, stepping forward, his tone sharp and dismissive. "Don't pay her any attention, Adrian." My blood boiled. "Crazy fan?" I said, my voice rising. I turned to Adrian's father, my eyes blazing with anger. "I'm the girl your spent prom night with. Does that ring any bells? Or do you make it a habit to treat people like disposable trash?" Adrian's gaze darted to his father, then back to me. Something flickered in his eyes-recognition, perhaps-but it was faint. "Prom night..." he murmured, as though trying to pull the memory from the depths of his mind. "That's right," I said, folding my arms. "The night you told me I had beautiful eyes, kissed me under the stars, and made me believe I was something special. Do you remember now? Because I do." Adrian's expression changed, his guarded demeanor faltering for a moment. He took a small step back, as if trying to process everything at once. "Wait... I... Are you saying...?" "I had your baby, Adrian," I said, my voice steady now. "His name is Kelvin, and he's eight years old. And all he wants for Christmas is to meet his dad." ..............................................................

After leaving the BAU without a word to anyone but Hotchner, Addy went back to the only home She'd ever known, Brookes memorial. Hospitals were for healing after all, weren't they? After spending a month recovering physically while wallowing in her mothers bed, Addy finally got back to work, saving people, the only thing she knew how to do in the hopes she could save herself. After three months of silence with the team, with Spencer, in the middle of surgery she looks up to see his face in the gallery watching. Deep down, knowing it's time she seeks him out to set the records straight, because what else can you do? "I swear I didn't know you were working here again. We uh, we had a case. I was looking for an Intern and I just thought I'd watch for a minute when I saw it was you." He put his head down barely looking at me, like he couldn't look at me. "You look like shit." I sighed watching his head perk a bit. "Thanks, I appreciate the observation." He was definitely being sarcastic. He just sounded off. "How's JJ? The baby okay?" His head shot up staring at me confused a moment before speaking. His entire body seemed to tense up. "Did Emily tell you about it?" I just shook my head. "No, JJ did. I'm happy for you two, really I am. If you're busy with a case I'll leave you alone, I just thought maybe we could talk." I put my head down going to turn away before I felt his hand on my arm. "Addy, I, I just don't understand, why didn't you just talk me?" I sighed taking his wrist in my hand and walking him silently to an on call room. Once the door was closed I watched him sit down on the chair hanging his head in his hands. "I was hurt Spencer, actually no, I was devastated." I watched his face change as my pager went off stopping me from continuing. "Shit, Spence I have to go, someone is coding."

At birth the little boy opened his dark blue eyes and looked around without opening his mouth. When the -inconsiderate- doctor gave him a slap on his buttocks instead of crying a "tch" escaped his lips while an irritated grin bloomed on his face. He had seen them through the glass, just as he had seen more doctors and nurses, and immediately turned his eyes in the opposite direction, frowning at his brows and lips. That was going to be a big nuisance. He did not use to bet but that was not a bet but an incontestable reality.
