Carter 'Lightning' Laross is an underground fighter in an illegal club. You get tough or die, since each fight ends in death for one of the fighters.
Unless you tap out...which earns you the title 'coward' and gets you kicked out of the gym.
Carter's upbringing made her tough. She got involved in fighting when she was only fifteen. At nineteen, she's won hundreds of fights, and has never ended a life. Not yet anyway.
Her career is blossoming, but things can change in the blink of an eye, and Carter soon finds herself in a world she never dreamed of.
