She was hiding behind the large tree, quaking in her high heels. She couldn't believe what she saw. Whole incident kept repeating inside her head with her galloping heart . She was lost in her thoughts but his deep voice brought her back to reality and made her whole body flinch. " There is no point of hiding Miss Poppy. Your smell is too strong not to ignore your presence. Come out from your hiding spot ", he growled and slowly walked towards the tree. He waited, but didn't got any response from her. All he could hear was her accelarated heartbeat. " Can't you hear me. I said come out RIGHT NOW ", his howling made her heart go inside the pit. " Everything is alright, don't panic ", she whispered to her heart, lightly tapping on her chest. Finally she plucked up the courage and slowly come out from behind the tree . Her whole body was shuddering in fear. She didn't dare to look into his eyes but still her curiosity made her do the same, and her soul left her body the moment her big brown eyes met his raging green ones.

When I heard something behind me, *Snap* that made me jump, (it was hard not to). As the crackling sounds of leaves, and twigs under a heavy foot, it was larger than myself but also never said I was very big.

Bang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. I hopped over the living room sofa, to climb the stairs yet again and as I made it to the landing I was thrown into the wall. My body pinned against it with a muscled form shadowing mine. His husky voice was a distinct reminder that he was my mate. The tingles that spread through my body made me hate but love the entire situation. I want him closer. "You don't run away from me, understand?" I nodded, he was really close to me and my wolf purred for him to be closer. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as he slowly removed his hand. "What do you want?" I demanded, making the futile attempt to shove him away though he didn't move an inch. "I want what is mine." He replied with a low growl that sent chills up my spine. My back was still pressed firmly against the wall and I think I was in shock to move. Though I felt safe which made me feel sick, how could I be safe in the presence of him? "No." I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. "No?" He repeated my words back to me and I boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. My mum said tea fixes everything, then again it never fixed her relationship. "You heard me." "I heard you clear. I'm just making sure you're happy with that answer before I make you regret it." Colton advanced forward, pure dread taking over my body at the size of him compared to me. He leaned forward so his lips were against my ear and with a soft tone he whispered. "Are you happy with that answer?"

I looked behind my wolf and saw about five other wolves including a giant black wolf that I'm assuming was the Alpha's. I wasn't to sure though because I'd never actually seen his wolf. In fact, I'd never seen any other wolves apart from my own. During fights I was always locked in a cell in the basement so that I was never at risk of getting hurt or worse, killed. I had to stay alive for the sake of the pack. I kept them together, kept them strong; even if it meant being their punching bag. And that's why I'd never ran away till now. Why?
