Charlie Moore was a lonely teen who had no clue as to how she had survived the apocalypse for as long as she has. The fourteen year old girl had spent - what she could only guess was - about two years running. She ran from the monsters that tore the flesh off human bones with their teeth, she ran from every animal that got too close for comfort, and she ran from people; living people. No one followed the law anymore; Charlie had seen enough to know full-well that those who survived became savages; violent and bloody, merciless savages. No one could be trusted.

Well, that was until she stumbled upon a wall. It towered over her, casting a shadow so large, she felt minuscule. When the metal gates creaked open, Charlie thought that was the end for her. Surely, the strangers would kill her, maybe chop her tiny body into bits and pieces to feed her to those undead corpses as a distraction-something! Never would she have guessed that the people behind those walls would shove a jar of applesauce into her tiny palms and usher her into the nearest home to get her acquainted. The hospitality seemed unreal and every time Charlie went to bed, she swore she would wake up back in the forest, harnessed to a tree branch twenty feet in the air, but it never happened. The refuge was real, but she wasn't sure how long it was going to last and she was not looking forward to finding out.

Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead or it's characters. I only own and characters I make up along with any added plot and dialogue. Daryl Dixon x Grimes! Reader YN is Ricks younger sister. Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside Atlanta with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. And it doesn't hurt to focus on a certain redneck too.

I started to do a trail of kiss up to the back of ear. The tension on shoulders started to break slowly as I kiss each inch of her skin. I'd been so worried about how she is mentally doing since the death of Lori. She hadn't processed much after the little nugget was birthed. She jumped into action immediately after, coming with me to get formula, and didn't stop until we got back to our mattress. Which she didn't sleep much and I followed her out as she let's out what she had been holding all day. I also have been holding back something for the past couple weeks. And I want to be able to tell her, but with everything going on, I'm not sure when it's appropriate time. Hell, the words have never been formed in my mouth. Not even with my brother.
