Here is the real question- What is love?
Is it the burning sensation you've received on your cheek from your family member?
Is it the cut-throat words your classmates spit in your face and to their friends when you're not around?
Is it the smoke you inhale in your lungs, knowing deep down in the end, although it helps you now- it's only leading you to a slow death?
Is it someone telling you, "I promise it'll be different this time.", only for them to return back to a dangerous pattern?
Or
Is it the glance you share between two heartbeats syncing together as one?
Is it your lips lingering, only to soon be dancing on another's?
Is it the comfort you find in the quiet between you and another soul?
Is it the warmth you find in your chest when that specific person says your name?

Derek and Lucas both share the same idea of love- it simply doesn't exist. The love so many tend to write about, the love so many seem to brag about to the world only for it to be the opposite behind closed doors. Neither ever thought love would play a role in their lives- Derek being the new kid in school due to moving away from problems, and Lucas being the outcast with no one around, both never thought someone could care so deeply for one another.
That is until their lives collide.
