Stolen

Sarah is a smart girl. She's beautiful inside and out. She's shy but very observant and unique in more ways than one. When her mom died she thought nothing could ever be worse until her father remarried. He was happy and so she was happy for him. But she noticed him changing a little more each day. From doing all the cleaning to never saying no to Amelia (her stepmother). On her 12th birthday after her best friend Shannon went home, her father sat her down. He had his "I wish I didn't have to do this" face on and Sarah knew right away this wasn't going to be good. He explained to her that they had signed her up for boarding school in Colorado. And that she'd be leaving the next morning. She nodded with tears in her eyes and walked slowly to her room to pack. She didn't know what would happen but she was scared and she tossed and turned all night. She just had this lingering feeling in the pit of her stomach that something, and she didn't know exactly what, but something was going to go terribly, horribly wrong and her gut feeling had never steered her wrong in life so far...
