So, once upon a time there was a mutant that was abandoned by her father, then later abused by her mother. This mutant had special powers (duh), and the thing that really made her special was her magnificent black wings that she'd one day become famous for.

After years with Stryker and her memory of everything before she met him erased, she manages to escape, in the process-she comes across the X-Men and a mutant who shares more than just a similar mutation.
