The other gem raised an eyebrow and looked at Peridot, unconvinced.
"To get us out of here." Peridot coughed.
"I'm listening. But escape is impossible."
"But we /can/ escape! Let me tell you-"
"Tell me how?"
"Yes, we just have to-"
"We? Peridot, you got us into this mess."
"I /know/! But it takes both of us to get out!"

The battle for Lapis's life has ended-or so it seems-and things are back to being semi-normal for her. She is enjoying her life with Peridot and the rest of the pack, but then she starts to notice things. Red eyes watching her from afar, glaring at her, begging for her to come near. Something tells her that the battle isn't over after all. Peridot remains vigilant as she always has, despite Lapis's assurance that it's all over.
