Dawn was one of the few cats to have griffin ancestors instead of your average lion or tiger. Because of this, she was born with a great power: beautiful black wings. But her parents didn't think she was special, so the moment she was old enough to eat real food, they gave her away to an old loner named Patches. But when Patches is ill, Dawn takes the tom to WindClan in hopes of healing him. In the end, she realizes that her wings may prove that she was the one to save them all.
