Evelyn never imagined she would be able to get away from her depressed mother, her old hometown, and her old life. One summer, Mya, Eve's cousin, takes Eve to a hotel resort in Hawaii with Mya's husband, Edward. In Hawaii, Eve finds herself in love with a barman named Matthew. Matthew shows Eve how it's like to be normal, not rich nor poor, having to earn money for food and shelter. Eve was used to being in a cage like a pet bird with food and shelter given for free, she realised how Matt changed her life from a rich pet bird in a cage to a free beautiful eagle soaring in the sky with Matthew. But the summer was ending soon and Eve knew she soon would have to leave away from Matt and Hawaii and get back to her bird cage that she called "home". Or will Eve find a way to change her depressing future to a happily ever after?
