Madelyn Greene is not your average good girl. Sure, she would get straight A's and was almost every teacher's pet. But she had no friends to hang out with.
And I mean literally. None.
She would sit alone at lunch and eat, wishing she had a friend or two to talk to.
Her family suddenly needed to move to Northvale, New Jersey due to her dad's new job, which didn't effect Madelyn's life much. She had no problem with the movement.

Starting her first day in Northvale High School, Madelyn Greene was desperate for friends. She had promised herself that she would make some friends at her new school. After attending a few of her classes, she believed that she had found the perfect group of group of girls to be friends with, named Claire Caldwell and Hazel Owens.
Everything was going well until they had mentioned their boyfriends. Madelyn started to feel left out since she never had one, so she decided to tell a little-white lie, saying she had a boyfriend, too.
Being the curious girls they were, Claire and Hazel wanted to know what his name was. Off the top of her head, Madelyn says,
"Caden Myers."
Madelyn thought no one would ever find out the truth. Little did she know that he was actually attending Northvale High.
