This is not a story. This is a collection of poems written by me which unravel different emotions, thoughts and feelings experienced by all teenagers.
Somewhere inside me, there burns a searing pain.
A mixture of sadness, frustration and anger.
A mighty feeling that leaves behind sooty scars in my soul.
No, it's not love.
It's a pain that has been 19 years in the making.
A pain that has been kicking out the happiness day by day.
All I write is the consequence of that pain.
"My wings are weak but I'm sure I can fly."

Not a Love Story
(Exactly what it sounds like. It's really not a love story. ) "Do you like me?" You're straight forward I forget that sometimes. I open the drink and look at it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. I sigh, it's a habit now, and take a gulp. "So?" You ask again. I put the drink on a table next to your bed and sit properly. "I don't know." I say honestly. You didn't seem fazed but you did seem a bit confused. "What do you mean you don't know?" I shrug and decide that the floor is the next best thing to look at. "I like you." I laugh at this and see you don't. "Don't say that. You don't like me. You don't." The Boy She Saw in the Hospital
"Death isn't just one thing that happens and is over with. That description fits life more. Death is eternal. I mean that's how I view it. Death brings joy and pain. In my opinion life should be viewed as death is. The end. Death is the beginning. A new life, a fresh new start. Its beauty is unmatched. I imagine it feels like stars bursting, a million smiles and just pure happiness." Cancer. What a pain. Valerie's crippling illness leaves her hospitalised, bored out of her mind, dreaming of how she just wants to be a normal teenager. Although her thoughts are constantly intruded by someone. The boy. She was intrigued by him, he visited everyday at the same time, 2:47pm. She wanted to know his story, why was he here? Is he visiting someone? Her curiosity overflowed her. Anyways, it didn't matter, for her illness was getting better and she could finally get back to school. Sophomore year. Gosh. She could finally be a normal teenager. Then she saw "him" in the school hallways. The boy. Although he seemed different, less warm, more cold. It was like he put up a façade and barricaded his true self.
