Everyone has a fear. Fear of spiders? Arachnophobia. Fear of small spaces? Claustrophobia. And of course, the fear of being tickled by feathers: pteronophobia.

Sophie Smart fears drowning. No, her fear isn't some made up malarkey like exposedflabophobia (acute paranoia when wearing a swimsuit and baring pasty thighs and a round bottom). Sophie drowned as a child. She died for three minutes. Her childhood trauma is real.

Yet Sophie, hot-shot advertising executive, isn't a child anymore. Now Sophie's most important client, handsome Matthew Silver, is insisting she learn how to swim. She can't blame him really - he's the owner of a chain of swimming centers, and Sophie's in charge of his new advertising campaign.

The last thing Sophie wants to do is get in the water, in a clingy swimsuit, with a client she's trying to impress. She's not going to win him over flapping around like an idiot, is she? But with a broken heart from her last relationship, maybe getting into the pool is just what Sophie needs. Maybe she can trust Matthew with her fears. Maybe it's time for her to forget about her past and take the plunge?

The best decision I ever made was when I moved to paradise nine years ago. I've met and entertained many beautiful women while living here in Hawaii, with those women changing what I first thought would be paradise and making it to be more of an erotic heaven. I love women, and I love satisfying them. But the only way they make it to my bed is if they're tourists. Why? Because there are no ties, no feelings hurt, no strings attached, and I'll never see them again-just pure innocent sex satisfying both our needs. Now I'm on an airplane, going back to the one place I always said I would never step foot in ever again. Las Vegas. All because Vegas is where my best friend wants to have his bachelor party. Just because I'm not happy to be back in my hometown doesn't mean I can't have fun, right? After all, I can still do what I've been doing in Hawaii here in Vegas as there are always tourists roaming the casinos. Before my friends and I hit the casino, I made a thousand-dollar bet with my best friend that I couldn't land a woman in my bed before we returned to Hawaii-a bet I want no part of after meeting who I did. That bet will come to haunt me after we get back home, especially when we cross paths at my best friend's wedding. I was happy to see her, but she wasn't too pleased to see me, and let's just say somewhere I screwed up because my face not only saw her fist once, but it saw it twice. She just lit the fire in me, and I never thought I'd say this, but I guess my entertaining women days are over because right now, there's only one woman who I want to chase, and that's Leilani. He loosens his grip from my waist and I begin to slip under. My faces scrunches up in discomfort, and he grabs a hold of me. He pulls me closer to him, our faces inches apart. "So you can't swim." He says, grinning. "No. I can't." I say. My eyes wander down towards his chest. I just now notice that he isn't wearing a shirt. I refocus my eyes back to his face, my cheeks getting hot. "We live in California. How do you not know how to swim? There are beaches everywhere." ___________________________________________ It was the last summer before college. For Rae, this meant making memories with her best friends and vacationing till she forgot the last four miserable years of high school. After taking school too seriously and planning all the right steps for college, Rae takes advantage of the time off. For Grayson, this last summer meant deciding if he really wants to spend the next four years being a star-athlete swimmer in college to please his overbearing father, or pursue his true passion of wildlife and spend the next year traveling the world. He takes a vacation with his friends to get away from it all, hoping he will get lay back and relax. When a boat ride and a crazy storm leave the two stranded on a deserted island, everything takes a turn for the worst. Rae and Grayson must adapt to the island around them and depend on each other for survival. Rae and Grayson always knew of each other, being friends of each other's friends, but never about each other. With Rae's panic and paranoia and Grayson's laid back outlook they might seem like an unlikely pairing, but the blazing sun and time away from the outside world just may bring them closer together.
