"Prepare to be amazed and astonished, Gentle Reader, by the feats and exploits of the legendary world-traveler, Grant McSwain. Thrill with each terror confronted! Be mesmerized at every mind-blowing mystery resolved! Swoon with suspense at the successes of this dashing and debonair super-man." This is a series of short, episodic pieces set in a version of our world's 1930s, written for a weekly short story contest. I picture Golden Age comic books and radio serials with ridiculous plots, fantastic monsters, and a rising German threat because everybody loves to hate Nazis. Basically, I'm going for Indiana Jones if he was a thick-jawed, overconfident moron.

[COMPLETED] ••Reached #1 in adventure on 04/07/2019•• ••Reached #2 in hero on 05/16/2019•• ••Reached #3 in fiction on 05/20/2019•• Arlo Sanders wakes up one morning to discover that he wet the bed. I know what you're thinking and no, he didn't pee himself. He had developed super powers. At first, he was in denial, but inevitably came to the understanding that he is now a Super, and if he has powers, he might as well use them for something other than picking up hot chicks. Now, not only does he have to deal with school, his almost non existent social life and his aggravating younger brother, but he also has to fight super villains and learn to control his new found powers to avoid blowing his cover to the world...and it is a lot harder than he anticipated. Prepare for a roller coaster ride of lame one liners and painfully awkward adolescent behaviour, along with bromances and romances, breakups and make ups, and even some cliché superhero behaviour, villains who hold a grudge, and really dorky super suits. Oh... and angry, rampaging squirrels.
