Starfleet produces the best and brightest of space explorers. Names like Kirk and Picard float around the halls of Starfleet Academy, inspiring young cadets to shoot for the stars. However, not every student is a comet shooting toward success and not every professor is an accomplished officer. Some aren't sure if Starfleet is even where they are meant to be.
For those who find exploration a difficult career and the prime derective hard to follow, there is a special unit. Starfleet Phantom academy trains the worst of the worst. The students have flunked out everywhere else and the teachers have broken too many rules to count. For those forced to work here, it is a last resort punishment. To the students who study here, it is their last hope.

The Golden Ticket: Postulant
Ever so often the light of divinity shines down on a young soul and illuminates them. Special powers, special destiny and a one way all expenses paid trip to the great university and with that scholarship a shot at divinity. Of course all of that assumes you survive. A messenger from magical university seems like a dream until they have you sign all those waivers about personal safety. Thirteen Young Men and women are taken to the crucible where they are tested for entry into a school for aspiring gods. Of course there is trouble in paradise. Fatima and Testament are at each other throats over religious differences. Jim is a certified psychopath and worse is a bit of creep. Sarah is just plain mean and little Marybeth is too naive to be useful. Worst of all is Alex who has no memory and barely seems human.
