Adam, Sarah, Dakota, Sam, and Skylar were all misfits who had banded together and become friends. When they wished upon a star one night they never excepted it to work. Wishing on a star was just a joke right? 
Wrong.
Somehow, when they woke up the next morning they were different. Their wishes had come true. 
You'd think this would be great. Each kid was given their own unique ability. They got what they wanted. 
So why wasn't everything perfect?
As life went on and things went downhill for them, new challenges arose.

When they realized what had happened, the twins' parents immediately put them up for adoption, so neither one knew of the other. 12 years later Skylar is constantly failing all her classes, and Jake is getting bullied because he is so much weaker than other kids. But then Skylar's adoptive family decides to move across the country to find a new school for their daughter, which happens to be the school Jake goes to. They meet completely by accident. In the meantime, their parents have found a way to fix their mistake from 12 years ago -- they can make one of the twins perfect. But it requires for the other twin to give their life.

But for some reason the closer she gets to Jason the more Luke seems to disappear from her world. Can she handle losing her best friend again? Or can Jason hold her up?

"What if I'm dying," Skyler asked worried. "It was nice knowing you," Winnie said jokingly. That wasn't what the girl needed to hear. "Look," Winnie interjected realizing she wasn't helping, "You aren't dying. We can google it and find out what's going on I'm sure there's a reason." Sky nodded quietly. Fearing for her people's wishes, Asha turns away from the King and his ways, doing the forbidden and wished upon a star, only for a boy who's hair glowed like starlight to fall from the sky.
