It was my first day at my new school. Let me rephrase: my new HIGH school. The four worst years of my life. I just hope I can survive the drama and pain. I pushed through the doors and I immediately felt their eyes burning into my skull. I heard them laugh. All I could do was ignore it. In first period math I slumped down into a seat in the back corner. In other words: away from teacher interaction. I was sitting next to a girl named Roxy, for the most part I tried to avoid eye contact.
"We have a new student, class!" the teacher started. "Please welcome, Kat!" She gestured for me to come up to the front. I sighed. "Is there anything you want the class to know about you?"
"Well, my parents died in a car crash when I was 5, I lived in a crappy orphanage for 8 years. I escaped when I was 13 and made money from mowing lawn, baby sitting, shit like that. Finally i could afford my own place. And now I'm stuck here!" Everyone except the girl I was sitting next to whose face was in her lap was wide-eyed with open mouths. "Yeah, I know, my life is awesome!" I couldn't help but be sarcastic. I happily walked back to my seat. I peaked over at what the girl sitting next to me was doing. She was drawing my favorite character from my favorite video game.
"Holy shit! I fucking love Undyne!" I blurted out a little louder than I meant to.
"You like Undertale?" She asked, not looking up from the drawing.
"Hell yeah I do!" I replied. She turned to me.
"I'm Roxy, I'm just about the biggest Undertale fangirl you'll ever meet!"
"You wanna bet?" I showed her my FIVE Undertale bracets.
"Nice!"
"I'm Kat. Just in case you didn't catch my don't-fuck-with-me speech," I laughed. She giggled.
"Wanna meet up after school?" she asked.
"Hell yeah!" We both turned to the teacher to make sure she wasn't looking. Of course as soon as we did that she glared at us.
"Roxy, why don't you show Kat around the school. I'll write you both passes."
