Ashley Hudson grew up in the small town of Death Valley, California. True to it's name, in summer 2009 six murders occured, all of the victims being Ashley's friends. Certain that she would be next, her family moves her across the country to live with her aunt in New York. Four years later, Ashley is almost done college, has new friends and a boyfriend. But the 09' murder cases still have not been closed.

The police only had two suspects, Felix Woods and Justin Young, but there was not enough evidence to prove either one of the boys guilty. Just when Ashley is certain she's moved on from these horrific events, both of the boys move to New York. Sure that one of them is the killer, Ashley doesn't plan on running this time. She begins trying to find out who the murderer was, before they get the chance to finish the job.
