After the girl he likes says she no longer cares about him, and many other reasons, 24 year old Simon Cross falls into a great deal of depression, wishing he had the means to go to another country to leave everything behind and start a new life, he is suddenly visited by a strange old man who will give him what he wishes for with no negative repercussions. The old man somehow gives him the power to call upon any money he will ever need when needed, the ability to speak, read, write, and understand any language, and lastly, raises his luck to basically be the luckiest man alive, but his luck is unpredictable.
