A short story, following the conversation of two wealthy heirs: Henry, the older, reckless brother, and William, the younger, practical brother.
Following their fathers recent passing, the boys begin to think of their inheritance- specifically, who will receive what? Will their father have distributed his will evenly, with each brother receiving an equal amount of property? Or will he have left all of his wealth to only one of his sons, leaving the other poor and forgotten?
With Henry's eyes on the inheritance, William worries that his elder will receive nothing, for he does not care for the money- he only craves his brothers love.
