(Short story)
My hands go numb and tremble as I start remembering bits and pieces of that night. My vision gets darker as I find myself tumbling over to the bed.

"Sweetie?" I hear my mother's voice. She's scared. I can hear it, so I try my best to snap myself out of the heinous act I have committed that night. "Are you okay?" I start to feel again and remember that I'm still holding the brush.

My vision goes back to normal as I stand up and answer my mother's question, "Yes, mom. I'm alright. I'll go down in a minute." I put the brush down on the bed and then take my bag whilst running down the stairs. As I do, I think, How do I even forget when everything reminds me of it? I just killed a man.
