Just like most 8 year old boys, Ben is just crazy about animals! He loves them and there is nothing that he wants more in the whole wide world than to have a pet of his very own.
The only problem is Ben isn’t allowed any!
But this is only the start of Ben’s troubles – for as fate would have it his school teacher Miss Rose is organising a special event just for his class – a “Bring your pet to school day!” And Ben’s the only kid in class without one – so what is he to do?
He can’t be the only kid in class to turn up without a pet, can he?
Everyone will laugh at him and he’ll never live down!
Then just when all seems lost - a miracle happens!
Ben finally gets to have a pet of his very own – Simon the house spider!
The only thing is Simons a secret and Ben’s got to keep it that way otherwise he might lose him – then he’d never be able to save the day!
