Two years is too short of a time with someone you love. Especially if they are deployed overseas for the majority of your marriage. But what if he comes home, but not the way you envisioned it so many times in your head? This poem is from the point of view of a young military bride. *This is a pantoum poem I wrote in my college creative writing class. I found inspiration from my brother, who serves in the military as well as Carrie Underwoods' Just A Dream* Gorgeous cover made by @LarissaChesser

Live on Kindle!!!! Kayleigh Harper has always had a heart of gold. Now a young woman at the age of 25 she has accomplished all her dreams except one. Love. She graduated top of her class at UNC, opened her own rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers for grief and PTSD she is living her best life. When one day she hears about a website for soldiers where you can write to them at random. Ethan Pierre grew up in the suburbs and always knew he was born to serve his country. At 28 he's growing restless with the continued tours overseas and the death of my fellow soldiers has taken a lot out of me. Never married and no children. I've lived the last 10 years serving my country and nothing else. Until one day he receives a letter from an unknown person. What happens when these two write letters overseas.
