Ariana and Arion - the Witches from Rio starts when Ariana is kidnapped. Her father is the Chief of Police of Rio de Janeiro. After the rescue, she meets Arion, a boy at school, who insists on finding out the truth about the kidnapping. At the same time, she is invited by her class-mates to join the Witches' Club and learn witchcraft. Ariana and Arion disagree most of the time, but their lives seem to be entangled. Witchcraft, then, comes in handy to clear up the mysteries, and gain protection when entering dangerous places as the slums on the city mountainsides. Together, they will get in the middle of firefights between the police and drug-dealers, and walk on the thin line between friendship and love.
