She liked to think it was nothing personal, just another part of the job. So what if they had tried to kill her, she was no hypocrite; they where paying her good money for a second chance. Anyway, New York was nice enough. She believed in professionalism, and strived to keep her employees satisfied. And if that meant killing a super soldier she would just have to grit her teeth and get on with it.

That they would take her, and they would experiment on her because she could shapeshift, because she was alien, and was different. "You won't arrest us, or put (Y/n) in a science lab," Nat said surely, "Because at the end of the day, you need us. We may have taken down SHIELD, but we are the most qualified to save the world. Skye is an innocent minded girl after being on the run for so long so when she gets a new home she takes a liking to Steve after all he rescued her. Steve takes a liking to her as well. Seeing she's so innocent and beautiful and she smiles at him whenever he talks. And she looks at him like he's her whole world. Bucky Barnes starts to take an interest in Skye from afar. He's terrified of his feelings and to talk to this girl. She makes him feel different and he doesn't know if he likes that. He still can't forgive himself for what he's done during his Winter Solider days. He sees Steve with her and realizes he might be too late and that she might not ever get to be his.
