Echo Alavaro wants nothing more than to live a normal life. Go to a normal school, have normal parents, get a normal job, and maybe eventually get married to a normal person. But considering she's a psychic, that has proven difficult so far. If she wants to achieve her goal, first she must use her newfound abilities to evade recapture from the lab that she's been trapped in for two years, that she unintentionally escaped from and to stop Pennywise, a shapeshifting being that has been feeding on the fear of the children of Derry for several centuries. With the help of The Losers, led by Bill Denbrough, will she be able to break free from the burdens that bind her? Or will she fail and be forced back into captivity, leaving her friends and her ambitions to be crushed for good? *This takes place in the summer of 1990, one year after the Losers *thought* that they defeated It the first time *Disclaimer: looking back i realized that the first few chapters of this story are really really fookin cringe and terrible and it doesnt get good until at least the fourth chapter. there isnt really much i can do about that without changing the story completely except politely request that y'all bear with me for the first 3 chapters. *The Losers Club, the Bowers Gang, Pennywise and a few other characters that I don't have the energy to mention were created by, and belong to Stephen King, and I am in no way trying to take credit for those characters or plot points of the story that weren't created by me. Echo was created by me and she belongs to me. *Spoilers!!! Don't read this if you haven't seen IT Chapter One (2017) *TW: This story contains strong language, blood, gore, mentions of mature themes, and mentions of suicide, so if you are lighthearted or easily disturbed by things like this, maybe dont read this. *There will be a sequel!!! not sure when, but it will happen! it is in the process of being written and edited

"What is your name?" I asked, staring into her doe-like eyes. Almost immediately her face twisted in horror. Her eyes switched back and forth frantically like an exit would suddenly appear out of thin air. The sides of her lips turned downward like it was taking everything in her not to burst into a sob. Sure, she was scared--that much was expected-- but I could see the anger. I could see she was furious with me. Interesting. I thought to myself. As much as I wanted to explore how far I could push her until she retaliated; time was of the essence right now. I was staring at an unrecognizable girl. A mistake like this will get a lot of people killed. "I asked you a fucking question, didn't I? I don't like repeating myself." I growled as I grabbed her small face in my hand, making her eye shut in pain. "Harley. Harley Anderson," she spat softly like an angered kitten. Harley. I let her name roll over my tongue for a while. Every second that passed made my vision go black with anger. I looked away from her face before releasing the hold I had on her. I felt my jaw clench in anger and my fist flex in readiness as I stared off in the distance, trying to control my anger from making me lash out. However, I couldn't control myself. She is the wrong girl. We have the wrong girl. ------------ Harley Anderson was an average girl with an almost too simple life before being taken by the biggest cartel in New Mexico right in front of her best friend, Avery. Xander Sanchez, the leader of the Riot cartel has nothing else on his agenda besides making his ex-business partner pay for his wrongdoings. What happens when Avery is the center of the operation, but it all goes wrong, and now Harley finds herself in a situation she never dreamed of? What happens when Harley is taken and forced to work under the boss? Will Harley be able to survive working under this ruthless man? What happens when the boss finds himself falling for the girl he least expected to capture his heart?

You slowly turned over the body of the man that attacked you, the man you killed "Oh..... Oh no" The face paint gave him away, as you looked into the now dead eyes of the man. That classic maniacal grin spread across his features even in death. You just killed the Joker. Now with almost every hero and villain you know gunning for you, either for their form of "protection" or to just kill you, only one thought crossed your mind. You've gotta watch out for the quiet ones and they hardly come quieter than shy but pretty Harleen Quinzel. New to Gotham City, the fledgling psychiatrist is starting her career by assessing new intakes at the infamous Blackgate Prison, a place so dangerous and ugly it makes the rest of Gotham look like a garden in springtime. Clashing immediately with the head doctor, Joan Leland, doesn't help. Let's face it-there's very little in her life to make her smile, let alone laugh. However, on the upside, she is starting to meet people. There's her new neighbor, Slade Wilson, a handsome and mysterious older man-and he finds her just as attractive. Although they definitely have chemistry, he is kind of lacking in the sense of humor department-and then he's also so secretive about his profession. Then on Christmas Day, like the best present ever, she meets someone new. Someone who makes her laugh. Someone who really cracks open her shell and brings her out of the grey, dismal mood it seems she's been in forever. So he's not conventionally handsome, with his green hair and his really, really pale complexion-what does that matter? He's got a wonderful sense of humor, he makes her pulse race, and is he ever a stylish dresser. Only problem is, he's a new intake and a probable mass murderer. Is this some kind of a joke life's playing on her? And how can she believe he's serious? And then there's Slade, who is not the kind to give up easily. He's been away, busy with a squad with suicidal tendencies, but he promised to come back for her.
