Whether true love is forever or just seasonal will likely be debated for years, but one thing that's for certain is that things are rarely fair in love and war. So let's say you meet someone that gives you butterflies. You fall in like, and if there's enough chemistry, dating slips into the relationship realm. A few nights shared turns into living together, and before you know it, you're two steps away from your dream wedding and that happily ever after. But what happens when life gets in the way of what brought you together in the first place? What happens when work becomes an obstacle to the cuffing, the kissing, the touching, the intimacy - the whole reason you've chosen THIS person to share your time and space with? We always hear that the grass is greener on the other side, and sometimes it's worth it to hop the fence and let that new grass glide between your toes. Sometimes that leap of faith will ignite embers that were close to being permanently extinguished - or spark an inferno of flames that soon takes on a life of their own, leaving a path of destruction in their wake. An inferno is exactly what the cast of characters in I Should've Cheated will face when they play with fire. Braelyn and her fiancé, Kai, have the perfect relationship with the exception of falling short in one area-quality time. Enter a bit of temptation by the name of Sevaughn that Braelyn just can't resist, and her upcoming wedding seems like a phantom memory of the past. She soon finds herself trapped in a web of deception and betrayal, an explosive love triangle that will leave her regretting the day she decided to betray Kai. Things are never fair in love and war, but Braelyn is about to learn the hard truth about trading what she has at home for a sizzling infidelity with her ultimate fantasy....

Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book!
