~ A Grisha Fanfic ~
Where there is light, there will always be darkness.
It has been five years since the battle on the Fold, when Alina had done what she thought was right. The only problem was that she had failed. The Darkling had survived their battle on the Fold, and was now readying his forces for yet another war. For the second time Alina will be faced with war, but this time she has no idea what is coming. She doesn't know that he's alive and coming for her. She doesn't know that darkness never dies.
Meanwhile, Nikolai Lantsov sits atop the Ravkan throne, queenless. He is a patient man, but it is an impatient country. He needs his people's support and to get that he needs Alina. Though she still grieves Mal, can she move past her lost love and find sanctuary in another? Can she marry Nikolai and be happy?
Only time will tell, but one thing is certain; like calls to like.

This story is in no way perfect and there may be some slightly inaccurate parts, but I promise I'm a devoted fan so you can trust that I'll work my hardest to make it acceptable.

Ivan, one of the most loyal and trusted wards from the General Kirigan also known as Darkling, walked through the corridors of the Little Palace searching for the General. "General"he said entering the room where he was looking through a map"We found her" The General couldn't help but to put his head up with surprise. "Where?"he asked impaciente. "In the woods, in a camp of Fjerdans" he answered. "Why is she there?" he asked, confused. "We don't know, but one of our trackers was in the woods and saw the camp with the girl bound hand and foot with chains" he explained while they were walking to get prepared. The girl that they were talking about was a girl with long brown hair and natural waves, gray eyes, flat nose and freckles called Kaida Deveraux, and why? Well, she has been searching and seizure in Ravka for almost three years for killing almost 30 people, but, why this interest of General Kirigan in her, the thing is that the bodies were found with their eyes out, they took them off them self and when they asked to the people around the place they told them that a purple wave ran out of a girl and then they started to scream. In the whole history it hasn't been a Grisha with that kind of power, but what if that wasn't her only power. Based on the Shadow and Bone trilogy. This story is based on the Shadow and Bone trilogy combined with the Netflix show.
