"I swear, Riley, sometimes it's like you live in your own world," Lucas said with a grin.
"I wish I lived there," I grumbled. "Things don't go horribly wrong all the time on Planet Riley."
"Planet Riley?" Lucas repeated, and burst into downright guffaws.
"You can stop laughing, Hess," I snapped.
"What's up with you?" Emma asked Lucas as she joined us and sat down.
"He's just judging the only thing keeping me from driving myself insane," I grumbled.

Sometimes you just need an escape from the reality of life. Riley Porter came up with her own "happy place" in which she called it Planet Riley. In this world, Riley could do anything she wanted and there was nothing holding her back. No annoying siblings, backstabbing friends. Just the world that Riley had created with her mind. But one day, Riley gets in a serious car crash and ends up in a coma, and her mind goes into creative mode. While her family and friends are out of their minds with worry back in 'the real world,' Riley gets her wish - she really is living on Planet Riley.
