Being exposed to your inner doubts and your deepest fears can kill a person from within and ultimately destroy the people around them. So, to avoid it, you bottle it all up and just hope it goes away and you know what? It seems to work pretty well, your mask isn't broken and you think you're doing just fine. Well, until someone comes along and smashes that bottle so hard, that the shattered glass manages to cut you too.

Alex Carter was just a regular seventeen year old girl, with a past mistake that haunted her every chance it got.

When she looked at her brothers, she felt guilt.
When she looked at her best friend, she felt shame.
When she looked at herself, she felt hatred and anger.

Everyday she questioned her past stupidity, her recklessness and most of all, her daring streak. It cost her a lot, too much to repay and repair. The damage was done and it had left her feeling empty but it's Alex Carter, she's good at hiding it and keeping the pain from showing.

She really thinks she can turn it over and make it work.
