Fourteen-year-olds Blaze and Onyx must run away from home and into the forest in order to escape their main enemies, the Exterminators. They must learn how to survive in the vast wilderness and become like a small family of their own, and above all, must never trust anyone but their own. When enemies finally discover the young survivalists, all hope is lost. Or that's at least what they thought.
