Emma's parents are going on a three month summer vacation for their honeymoon. Emma now has to stay at Andrew Emmons house for those three months. She's terrified. Andrew is the schools bad boy. He's gotten into so much trouble; theft, even trespassing. Little does Emma know that it's because of a mentally abusive father... Emma Gilman is a goody two-shoes; never skipped a day of school in her life, never late for anything, and hasn't done a thing in her life that's on the bad side. But what happens when Andrew invites Emma to a party one night and says "Come on, Em. Live a little."? What happens when she says okay? What happens at the party? What Emma doesn't know, is that Andrew has already taken a liking for her a couple years ago.

After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college.
