The Phoenix from within the orb grew as I pumped its core with more heat from my tantalizing finger tips, until it roared and shot into the sky, spreading its wings high above the ground. I love when I send them to Gaia. They have a word for them there, shooting stars. I had a name for them also when I lived there, but that was so many decades ago. I have forgotten most everything except for my death, the queen will not let us forget that.

To man, death is death. To us, burning or drowning is simply a painful way to parish, but the pain is not in vane. Some are chosen, after close surveillance from the dwellers, they may be strung astray from the normal procedures of afterlife and sent to a Quad. A Quad is a realm based around one of the four main elements; fire workers make dragons and so fourth while earth workers create sprites and faeries. The unicorn is a product of wind, and mermaids are the sirens of the water people. What a lovely balance is it not? But what if it were broken.....
