The swings creaked in a painful sorrow, his thin image no longer shifting slowly back and forth. He looked up at her as she stepped onto the small pebbles that surrounded the old skeleton of rust. His eyes were a dull cold yellow, the eyes of a broken predator. His silver hair flickered across his face, striking gently at his skin like a snake. She pause just looking at him, her stereotypical outfit waving like a field of dying roses in the wind. His lips curved suddenly into a frown and he looked down at his legs. "Promise me.." He spoke, the words taking a moment to jump into the current of air, "Promise me you wont let me fall when this all turns to hell.." The girl didn't move, her lips pinched together patching a smile of lies. "I don't think I'll catch you in time!" Her voice broke and shattered in the wind. The boy didn't reply, he looked up kicking his foot into the dirt and started the ticking motion once again. "Hmm, hmm, hm, hmm, hm, ha-hmm, hmm, hm.."

She was the outsider. The girl that sat at the back of the class and never raised her hand. The girl the sat alone at lunch because everyone thought she was weird for not speaking. She was the girl that had a million thoughts running through her head but had zero guts to say them. She was the girl you don't normally fall for but, then, she became the girl that captured the heart of the guy everyone loved. ---- "Shit, I'm sorry" A deep voice mumbled squatting down to help her up. A rough hand pulled her up and her blurry vision landed on dark eyes. She blinked a few times and her vision came back. Standing in front of her was a boy about her age. A very attractive boy. He was almost a foot taller than her 5'3 height. His black hair was slicked back and his tan skin radiated under the fluorescent school lights. Her mouth was slightly ajar as she stared at him. She hadn't realized how close she was to him until she felt his breath on her lips. She jerked away, grabbed her glasses on the floor and ran away in the opposite direction leaving the boy to furrow his eyebrows at her behavior. However, a small smirk played on his lips as he placed his hands in his jeans pockets and turned in the opposite direction. 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid' She thought to herself.
