Sakura Rose is a genius, simply put. But most people don't know it. In fact, nobody knows it. To everybody else, she's an ordinary girl who barely covers her college tuition with diner shifts and lives in a tiny, dirty apartment. That is, until Ben Hugo shows up on her doorstep. He goes to the same college, and he's working to become a psychiatrist. He's researching abnormal thinking patterns, and he's seen Sakura Rose's records. Ben offers to pay her for interviews, research, and experiments. It seems like a dream deal. But there's one catch. Ben is arrogant and rude. He doesn't like Sakura Rose. Sakura Rose doesn't like him. They go together like water and fire. The idea of six months of living and working together sickens both of them. Can they put up with each other so that both of them get what they need, or will they get fed up and leave it all for bust? As if things weren't bad enough, Sakura Rose's drunk father is back in town, and the voyage of avoiding him, [mostly by driving across the country] begins. Oh, boy.
