Daniella Santiago was first born and therefore was born and raised to be the next alpha of her pack. She lived and tragic life full of loss, she was forced to step into her title at only 15 due to the murder of her parents. Her younger brother, her former beta and best friend, died when she was 17. Now Daniella is 20 and a well trained, strong, well known alpha, of course other packs viewed her as lesser because it was not common for a women to be an alpha, let alone a strong one. She has had to prove her strength many times to other packs, but no one has ever been much of a challenge because it is her rightful position from the moon goddess. Due to her losses she doesn't allow herself to get close to anyone, the only person who truly knows what she's been through is her Beta, Will. So what will happen when she meets her mate, Zachary Kingston, who's also an alpha? Will she be able to give up her title as alpha for love? Or is it something else holding Daniella back from being with her mate?

"I don't want a mate, need a mate or have a mate. Nothing you say is going to change that." Alpha Aidan of the Fervidus territories has been longing for a challenge for longer than he can remember. When subversive Lorelei shatters his heart and devastates the traditions he holds dear, a singular word resonates in the testy Alpha's mind. Mate. But his witty little rogue isn't the accepting kind. Or the settling kind. Or the kind, open and sweet kind. Definitely not the sociable kind. Will he keep up, or will she sweep him under the carpet with yesterday's woes? Only time, patience and an iron will may tell. "I'm a patient man."
