Once upon a time there was a....Nada...There is no fairy tale in the land of Vaux because it has not had a good witch called the Whitling in centuries. When Seraphina is discovered by a farmer and his wife in a field, they take her in and raise her as their only daughter. They soon discover that she is more than what she appears when she levitates at night in her sleep and does other strange things that no mere mortal could ever do. The kingdom and throughout most of the land is filled with darkness and filled with evil creatures such as demons, warlocks, and Meragers, soul eaters. When the king discovers from his prophetess, Nix that there is a great ancient power full of goodness that could destroy everything dark disguised in the mortal world, he seeks them out to destroy them and unbeknown to the King this creature, this threat, is none other than Seraphina.

This book hopes to visit the Fairytales that we all grew up reading, the ones that started with 'Once upon a time' and ended with '...and they lived happily ever after'. The author attempts to point out some disturbing points that might have skipped us altogether. This might just be a useful tool in helping us realize that what lies beneath the surface of a seemingly harmless story, is in fact quite the contrary. We could begin by trying to change the text so that future generations grow up reading stories that are uplifting and empowering.
