It was Alyss Redfox's time to die... and then it wasn't.

Something happened that saved Alyss and changed her fate for the better. Something happened that made her life staggeringly different than how it was going to end. That something started with a "d", ended in an "n", and had a tail, wings, claws, and a super awesome roar. That's right. Alyss was saved by a dragon. Mercuria, to be exact. 

Seven years after she saved Alyss, Mercuria disappeared with nothing but a Lacrima in her place. Alyss decided to explore the world to search for her, but somewhere along the line, she met a certain Iron Dragon Slayer and learned something that would change her life forever.
