(I'm gonna make it slightly more realistic on the pokemon part. Rather than being just on the phone a semi-realistic hologram will come up during fights, and small activities via the phone, you can control their actions by phone still. Imagine it somewhat like in the trailer where you see the boys vs. girls fight.)
