After her mother commits suicide, everything for a young teen is turned into turmoil. Desiree Ashmore confides in her unique talent to draw to keep her from giving in to the ever growing vortex of sorrow. Her father has already moved on, starting to date her shrink, and her best friend Jonathan Banks is the only one she can trust. Just as Desiree's life is starting to line up, everything is turned upside down as she is thrown into a world of her two favorite things, mystery and magic. Although the world of Drawcasting seems like her long-lost asylum, deeper and darker powers threaten to unbalance Desiree's new home. The life of her loved one's is clenched in the hands of an ever growing enemy, who is closer than anyone thought. Listening to the horror of things, Desiree embarks on a mission to protect her future and save the ones she holds dearest.
