Emma is pregnant and is about to give birth but word got around that maybe the baby wasn't Killian's. He was furious and refused to take part in her giving birth. By the time he got over being angry and went to go see what could be his child she had already had him and was on her way back when she got into an awful accident. Neither her or the baby survived but Killian couldn't help but blame himself and thought it was all his fault. He went crazy and kept imagining her when she wasn't there. Their house haunted him with images of the nursery they had ready and what he thought was going to be their future together.
