Brennan Porter has lost a lot but over the years she's grown to live with it. She thought life was good. She had a great job as Starling City's forensic scientist, a loving foster brother, and her best friend had just returned from being missing for five years. To her, life was beginning to return to happiness. That is, until her manipulative, evil, foster father levels an entire part of the city that kills her brother.

Ridden with grief, Brennan flees to Central City, taking the job as CCPD's sketch artist. Working in the office, she meets Barry Allen. Sweet, charming, nerdy, and overly very attractive Barry Allen. She sees a budding friendship and maybe more but Allen becomes comatose for nine months after being struck by lightening from the Particle Accelerator's blast.

After Barry wakes up, Brennan is even more protective of her friend. Barry and Brennan continue to get closer, sharing secrets with each other that no one else knows. But Barry is keeping one very big secret from Brennan. You only get one chance with Breannan's trust and with Barry's lies will he lose it and her or will she stay and give him a second chance?
